Juror's Talk: "Sunflowers to Sunsets" 2024 Wearable Art Exhibit
Description
Poised at the junction of art, craft and fashion, artwear has both challenged and blurred cultural boundaries as works of art made to adorn the body. Take a virtual walk through the wearable art exhibit with Juror Susan Lazear as she discusses the impact that color, design, fabric, and construction have in creating designer show pieces. Produced by the Handweavers Guild of America, Inc. (HGA), the Sunflowers to Sunsets exhibit sponsored by Suzoo's Wool Works at the Sheepwalk Ranch and juror's talk took place at the 2024 Convergence® conference held July 2024 in Wichita, Kansas.
The Juror's Talk will be conducted via HGA's Zoom platform on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 2:00 - 3:30 PM ET. Registration for the live event will close at 1:00 PM ET. All registrants and anyone who registers after registration closes for the live event will receive access to an "on demand" recording of the juror's talk. A link will be emailed 24 hours after the juror's talk has ended.
