Certificate of Excellence Examination Host Interest Form
HGA's Certificate of Excellence (COE) is a self-directed certification program for HGA members in the areas of Handweaving, Handspinning, Dyeing and Basketmaking. COE Examinations are offered on the following schedule: Dyeing in the Spring of even years, Handweaving in the Fall of even years, Basketmaking in the Spring of odd years, and Handspinning in the Fall of odd years. One of the strengths of the COE program is the tradition that fiber guilds host the examination stage of the COE process. Benefits of hosting to the guild include many opportunities for learning through observing professional quality work completed by applicants and through meeting and networking with internationally known experts who serve as examiners for the program.
