A Thread of Hope Guatemalan Fair Trade has been working with over 450 indigenous Maya artisans in co-ops, groups, and families for 20 years. We offer high-quality, beautiful, meaningful, and useful gifts--gifts that give twice! Something for everyone on your gift list, including yourself! Lightweight bamboo, bamboo chenille, and cotton weavings from Maya women back strap and foot loom weavers, huipiles, face masks, handbags, jewelry, ornaments, home goods (placemats, runners, ceramics, wood, pot holders), toys, and faith-related gifts--all handmade and all Fairly Traded! Retail and wholesale.
Come to Guatemala and meet the artisan co-ops and families with whom we work! We arrange all in-country travel, lodging, etc, as well as weaving, dyeing, basketry or embroidery classes, Spanish classes, bird-watching--whatever your fancy!
